I'm looking into swapping a 95 explorer dash into a 94 ranger. I have the entire explorer. I've thought about swapping the entire harness. Explorer is a 4.0 auto(bad trans) Ranger is 4.0 5 speed (bad engine) I want to keep the 5 speed. Any pics show in the difference between mounting would be great. Fabrication isn't an issue

firewalls are different....hvac box ect.

i dont have limits in this concern. but if someone is asking most of the time they have limited experience...so on a shade tree level 1-5....its a solid 4.2

since you have fabrication experience...this should just be a parts swap. the explorer harness is a bit more complicated pillars back though for obvious reasons.

Thanks. Are shapes different or just where Holes are located? Trying to not get surprised when I start

shape/form. you can adapt or cut weld/section it in.

those were the mods necessary for the v8 option to keep reasonable ac.... which we learned in the 80's

You can keep a 5 speed but you can't keep THAT 5 speed.

Too bad you don't have a '95 Ranger...

Why not. Saturday I was sitting in a stick Ranger with a full length center console.

Because I read it as the ever popular question about keeping the stock V6 trans with an Explorer 5.0 V8 swap. The dash/harness swap played into it (some guys do that when they do engine swaps)

4.0 to 4.0 carry on.
