dash lights, door chime wont turn off

i finally finished my 94 exploder 4.0 to 90 ranger swap, i took all the wiring from the exploder but the dash. my dash lights wont turn off and the door chime wont go out either even when the keys are out and the main light switch is off i have both evtm's for both years and make but all the wiring from the 53 pin connector to dash is the same for both years, same color wire and routing to each switch? can the actual switches go bad just from swapping wiring? and yes i took everything but the dash, engine, headlight, transmission,fuel and rabs wiring i even swapped the rabs perportioning valve on the frame rail so i have no idea what any of this has to do with the dash

A couple of things to check...first, check your pin switch at the switch with an ohm meter. If that checks out, check where the dome light circuit goes into the computer, and check all pin connections to make sure nothing is loose in the connectors...See if this helps
