2007 Ford Ranger 2wd 2.3L while tracing a parasitic drain issue removed Fuse 29 20amp to cigar lighter and ODBII power. This turned off dashboard lighting not cluster gages or cluster lighting but illumiation controlled by dimmer switch. Fuse back in lighting works this does not show on schematic to be associated with dash illumination. any tips?

I would pull the cigar fuse out so the illumination does not work,, and then get your meter out and trace the illumination circuit and see why it doesn't work. See if you have illumination power at the cluster plug. At the dimmer control, etc. Of course pick your battles here and try to test somewhere that is easy to get to.
