It is quite simple actually. I got the cool white LEDs from http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2Fmini-wedge.html. Just make sure you order extra cause i've had a couple gone bad in a couple months.

Did you scrape off any green backing? because I did get the cool white leds and it turned out like this

I didn't do any scraping my self. I don't know if the previous owner did any scraping him self. First time i changed the lights on my cluster i ordered regular blue lights for the dash and i ordered the cool white for the a/c controls. I got this result...

I noticed the a/c controls looked a lot better with the cool white, so i ordered some for the dash and got that result. I gotta change some bulbs this week cause some burned, i will check if the gauges have that green backing.

But i honestly didn't scrape it.

My 'cool white' looks the same in the dash. You had a coupe go bad? None went bad on me, but some need the contacts cleaned.
