Dash Designs 1st gen Dash Cover anyone??

Has anyone here ever bought a Dash Designs 1st gen dash carpet cover? I noticed them on Rockauto.com today, and they're very affordable at under $30

I've been looking in to various ways to restore my 87 dashboard, and I've seen them ALL. Not quite happy with 99% of them. I'd LOVE to have a custom suede cover sewn over my original dash pad but the cost is pretty insane.

Here's what I'd love to have done, but at $450 minimum, no thanks.

450$ doesn't seem that bad for having such a large "front and center" part of the interior done in a super nice fashion.. but I guess I am an individual who justifys the prices on some things by telling myself "well.. I can always make more money".. and I AM a sucker for a super lux interior.

I don't have any experience with those dash covers... but looking at the picture... it would be an easy pass for me. Maybe it would look better on first gen dash. But somehow I doubt it. I know there aren't many options out there.

I'm also more of a utilitarian kind of guy with most things... dash boards being one of them. Some of these new dash boards... I just can't see myself sitting behind one.

I have two carpet dash covers from that company but they're on 2nd gen trucks. I am very pleased with them, they fit great, and look great, and cover up the cracks.

I did have a 1st gen carpet dash cover that I was super not impressed with. It had little carpet flaps that went down between the vents and just looked terrible because some little section was always coming loose. I don't know what company made it though.
