My credo
"220, 221, whatever it takes."
Today the thought occurred that maybe I have too much crap.

L to R: GPS, backup camera monitor, radar detector, XM.
Actually the GPS and radar are only there when I need them.

To be an organizer you need information. And I get a lot of information, LOL.

At least the ton of stuff on your dash is there in an organized fashion:icon_rofl:. BTW your team put my mother in tears during the superbowl:bawling:. She's a cards fan. thanks for making my mother cry:thefinger:. preseason rematch is all cards. too bad the preseason counts for nothing..........

Go pick up a Pioneer AVIC-F90BT. It'll give you the in-dash nav, XM, and backup camera. The only device you'd still need other than the radio is the radar detector. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty satisfied with the one I put in my wife's car now that the 3.0 firmware is out.

haha

all you need is one more little screen and camera to see out the front windshield and good to go...

Actually I'd kinda like the backup camera to be on all the time like the one in my bud's 33' motorhome. :icon_twisted:

I was going to say replace the head unit with an aftermarket that
is XM compatible and takes a "hideaway" XM module.

mount the radar dector high (they work better mounted at the top
of the windshield) and run a wire to it up there
and you'll cut the clutter quite a bit.

I have a Sirius radio and my GPS (a Megellan) mounted at the center
top of my dash, but I'm moving the GPS to where the Sirius radio is
and relocating the Sirius to a location similarly to how you've mounted
your Rearview camera display.

Frankly I'd replace my old Sirius sportster with a newer unit but for one detail

non-transferable lifetime subscription.

i had a radio once.

my windows still roll up most of the time too

I could Velcro the radar detector up high but I'd still have to run a wire to the bastard. Where it is the wire isn't in the way. Like to get the XM out of the way but I lease a new truck through my company every three years, have a year and a half to go on this one, so I'm not in a mood to buy a new head unit. It's enough that I put an exhaust on this one (the 3 mpg I picked up will pay for itself).
My old Sport Trac had the short console so I mounted the XM there and ran the power and antenna wires under the floor mat and it was very slick (see pic). Next truck I'll get the factory Sirius unit.

Call Sirius. I think the subscription is for your account and not the receiver itself. The XM in the pic got stolen when my truck was broken into, I got another one, called XM and they just switched it over.
(Ya, I don't know why anyone would steal an XM either unless they thought it was a GPS. I call XM to report it stolen and it's an instant paperweight.)

Mine was sold with a Lifetime subscription at a time when the policy was that they were for the life of the radio.

Later on they offered a lifetime subscription that was transferable three times, but they charged $50 for the transfer (highway robbery)

NOW they no longer offer a lifetime subscription, unless you get a factory installed Sirius radio in your new Bentley...

as for my relocating my old Sportster
I'm only partly relocating it for "clutter control"
I'm also locating it so the Drivers Right side A/C duct
blows on it because it gets hot as hell in operation...
even hotter up on top of the dash.

Well what are you going to do now that the ride side of your body is going to overheat, due to the blockage of A/C in that region??
