I'm just going for better fuel economy but also do it the quickest and easiest way too. The carb setup is reliable, haven't had any problems with it other then when I get on it, say 3/4 or more throttle, it wants to have a hanging high idle. The quick way to make it stop is to shut the engine of them turn it right back on and its back to normal. But when I am driving her normally, I actually never go past half throttle, not even driving at 65mph.
If I do go FI, I want to do it the cheapest way possible. But not looking in into have something that has high horsepower that I have to do a cam swap and whatnot, more or less bolt on things such as mustang heads, pedestal roller rocker arms, etc...if I do want more power. But since I'm the only one with income at the moment and a kid on the way, I can't do to much to the truck right now, as much as I would like to.
My goal next year is to make it to Bundy hill one time with some of the guys on here and have the truck ready for that between now and then.
