Ya so I was wondering about a dana 44 ttb. My question is can I pull the whole pumkin out like a 9''. I was really wondering because if so I will just go down to the junk yard on 1/2 price day and grab a pumkin with 4.10 gears. instead of buying and setting up new gears. thanks guys

I am pretty sure the 44TTB is the same setup as the 28 and 35 so you should just be able to unbolt it from the beams.

4.10s are a rare specimen in anything I think. Better do some scouting.

I've heard reports that D50 chunks bolt right onto the D44 beam. 4.10s are fairly common in the 50s.

really will the axles shaft from the 44 work with a d50
Also Anybody every use used gears I found a set of 4.10 reverse cut for $50 thanks again guys

Yes, the axle shafts should fit, both are 30 spline (keep the D50 inner for it's bigger u-joint though)

sorry for so many q,s will the d50 fit the 44 outters. and where would be the best place to find the d50. thanks

4.09 gears are quite common in 3/4 ton d44s.

ok I;m sorry guys I really havn't messed with a whole lot of gearing issues. But will 4.09 front work with 4.10. Or will it just scrub the tires either trying to pull or push the other set of tires. thanks again.

Anything up to about .05 difference between ratios is insignificant (new vs. half-worn tires would make for more difference than that). Nothing to worry about.
