Has anyone/Is it possible to swap in a dana 44 in a newer ranger? I have only seen them on 90s and older rangers, but nothing in the 2000 and up range. Just was wondering if its been done and how hard it was.

It possible, buts its some work, but still cheaper than a 4" lift for your model...basically remove all suspension components attached to the frame up front including the rack and pinion, bolt on a gearbox from an older ranger, coil buckets, shock mounts, RA brackets, trac bar mount, steering linkage and driveshaft and ur done

all that (which isn't too bad) or use front leaf springs, a guy here did it, and that allowed him to make the shackle drop brackets just the right size to make the ride height perfect
