dana 44 carrier break

i just got my dana 44 and i dont know what gears are in it for sure but i think they are 345s. if so is there different carriers for different ratios and will i need to get a different carrier to do 456 gears.

Chances are the ratio is 3.54, and yes you will need a different carrier or you need to purchase 'thick' gears to use your original carrier. The carrier break on a D44 is 3.73-/3.92+.

Is 2 types of carriers in the dana 44,the type 3 and type 4


the type 3 is for gear ratio from 3.94 and down,example,u have gear ratio from 3,73 and down,like 3.45,,327 and more low,u can´t put gears like 4.11 and up!!

Type 4,is for gears 4.00 and up,if u buy a carrier with 4.11 u can use in that carrier,4.11 of course,,4.56,4.88,5.13 i think is the more big number
