dana 35 splined washers

I starte to put my axle back together when I accidently kicked my bucket of parts over. Everything got all mixed up. On each side before the c clip there is a splined washer. One of mine is like 1/16 thick and the other is maybe 1/4. Are they supposed to be the same size or what? If not which side does each go on

Guess I never noticed that they were different thicknesses Are you sure that there aren't two stuck together? I guess I would just put em together and see if one is tighter than the other but it really shouldn't make a difference they are there to keep the stub shaft pulled thru the spindle far enough to engage the hub.

Some have two thin splined washers and a thick delrin splined washer between them that acts like a thrust washer (use a little grease on them too). See lmc truck website or broncograveyard website if you still can't get it all together.

well the thick one isnt delrin. its definitely metal. but i squeezed it in there finally. it fit on the passenger side

If its in there with a little slop it should be fine. Just be sure it has a some grease between is what I would recommend.

there is no slop. the problem was i couldnt get the c clip on with it on there. i jacked up the arm to squeeze as much length as i could and i finally forced it in the groove.
