I have a Dana 28 now and was finishing doing a james duff lift with ext length radus arms. Will the dana 28 ext RA work on the dana 35 front axle. I am assumong all of the drop brakets are the same as well I will just need to go to a junk yard and get the axle and center.

I am hoping that i didnt just stick myself with a dana 28.

oh and you can also use the same calipers if you want. hubs, wheel bearings, rotors, shafts are all different.

The same calipers too that's awesome becouse I just purchased 2 new calipers. Thank you for the help.

You have to be careful with lifts and Dana 35s. Some lift brackets punch holes in the pig.

he has a duff lift, it uses an actual drop bracket instead of a plate. he should be good to go.

The only thing custom that you would need would be a new front drive shaft (or to get the one you have shortened an inch...), I skipped getting custom stuff and just installed a manual 1354 to use the dual cardan shaft that goes in front of those and is designed for the task :)

Well I have a 1354 manual I grabbed at a junk yard awile back never looked at the shaft to see if it was different. I was planing on making a doubler out of it but maybe for now I will go back and grab the rest of what I need from that truck.

The T case U joint is a dual cardan on the 1354's and has a slip joint in the shaft where the 1350's have the slip at the T case, I kept my old 1350 to do a doubler in the future, the front output is worn out but the internals work just fine.

Yep lol I just noticed that. Well that is a much nicer design anyways since it eliminates the slip yoke so I will deff be going dumpster diving again for the front driveshaft.

with the 3.5" lift that I have... I'm running a non-shortened explorer driveshaft JUST FINE...

Yea but I have 6 inch of lift I'm thinking I might need to build a longer driveshaft. But one with a u joint at both ends doesn't look that hard to lengthen.

well... no... but it's also easy to not be balanced and stuff to. Not that it'll matter on a trail rig.. might not matter anyway will real lockout hubs...

I have 6" lift and the stock front driveshaft for the 1354 is just fine, stock rear shaft too...

they can kill a 28 as well...
