dana 28/35 hybrid

Was there ever an explorer that had the dana 28 components inside a dana 35 housing, such as the 93-97 ranger may have had?

In other words, if I had an explorer, could I be sure it really had a dana 35, or is it possible it's actually a dana 28?

No, it has a real D35. Only 93-97 rangers had hybrids, 2.3s I think all had them and some 3.0s got them.
