Hello BII fans. I am trying to build one o those airbag trailers that falls to the floor, providing drive on capability without winches or ramps. The front 4WD spindle / brake hub assembly on our BII's solves a lot of the problems inherent in a axle-less trailer design. But to move forward it would be nice to have the load rating per corner. Can someone here point me in a direction or give me what I need?

It's around 2,500#. A little more maybe for the D35 and D28/35 hybrid (they use the same outer parts) as they have a little bigger bearings.

Not a bad idea, but there is no reason to use the actual axle--just use the idea. Buy trailer spindles and tubing and make your own pivots. You have to do fab either way and you can put whatever rating you want in it. Plus, you don't have to deal with the steering knuckles.

I really like this idea. Never thought about making the trailer kneel.

If you wanna go with non solid axle trailer why not just use TIB arms from an F-150.

gonna have to go with will on this one. stering axle suck for trailers.

if you just want the hubs and spindles i suggest cutting up a 3/4 ton rear axle in the junkyard

Why stop there?

I know at least F-350's had TIB. I think they still do, dad's '04 F-250 does anyway

Good point, figure F150s would be the easiest to get & the op was asking about D28s/35s so he wasn't too concern about having the strongest setup
