Stop fighting with your dad. I came to realize that everything my dad said that I disagreed with when I was a teenager was right. I got lucky enough to have a reasonable father though. A lot of kids don't. Either way fighting doesn't solve anything. So stop fighting.

Buy a JY hood. And fab up your own. You can fab your own wetlaid carbon fiber cheaper than you can find most busted pieces on ebay.
