daily doubler build

I like the way it is now...not sure I'd want to commute a 1-ton'd rig anyway :icon_twisted:

Bray your truck is a '96 like mine, what did you do about the front ABS and master cyclinder (if anything) when you swapped in the D44?

ABS is entirely non-existent on my rig now. I removed the whole ABS module and harness and ran lines straight from my master to my axles/calipers.

Welp, the tires came in QUICK once I changed my order.

They came in Friday, so I spent Saturday morning building the wheel sets.

Then I took em in to get balanced, and I had em installed by noon.

Street driving is no issue, but I'll have to do some slight trimming before I get it twisted up too bad.

I'll have to check to confirm, but I think I remember the DOT number being BE1C.

Wow! Makes it so different. Any issues with balancing?

If those dot numbers are right, then they were made at the Goodrich plant in Oklahoma. It's a non union plant but oh well, keep buying goodrich tires so I have a job.

Some took a decent amount of weight, but the tire guy didn't complain too much. Judging how my old tires wore, I think I have an alignment issue going on. I need to get it on a rack to get it checked out.

I'm definitely digging the new look though. It's turned some heads already on the street, haha. Funny part is, unless they're big time into wheelin, they won't have a true appreciation for the awesomeness of this wheel/tire combo. I'm excited to get it offroad.

sorry Bray....but I see ALOT of trimming for you to get her twisted up....

does look awesome though:icon_thumby::icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

Those people are a rare breed...many think and say they know but when you listen to what they say and start asking questions, then their ignorance shows.

haha that's fine. I'll hack whatever is necessary to make it work.

I did run the front tire up on a rock pile we had, and the rear started to rub. The rear is still completely uncut though. Didn't have an issue up front, though I'm sure that will change once I lift the rear to flex the front.

Hopefully the weather is nice next weekend. I'd like to get the fenders trimmed and started on the sliders.

Truck looks sick! I love my km2s as well. Have you thought about making the rings on the wheels red?

This truck looks better everytime I see it. Nice wheel and tire combo any idea what they weigh mounted up?

Truck looks great! Need more pics tho :icon_thumby:

Wow, that really changed the look of the truck. I'm betting that bling you have on there makes it fit in real nice at the mall :thefinger:

Any idea what the approximate wheel/tire combo weights?

Lookin good Bray, gonna have to trim/play with the bumpstops now....

Tires look good, axles look tiny. I got some built tons ill sell ya...
