daily doubler build

idk i think a longer is easier to get more flex outta than a shorter one (in theory). RTI kinda makes it a somewhat level playing field.

I can get 40'' under my tire (front and rear) and score a 747
the broncoll gets less height but scores bout the same :dunno:

altho i think somone needs to come up with a universal formula that figures the ramp angle into the equation. but im no mathmatician so i'll leave that to somone else.

You're saying the exact same thing I am. I ramp 1083 at 40". With a 127" wheelbase, he would need 47" of height to score the same.

His truck needs to twist up more to achieve the same articulation mine does, relative to his wheelbase.

Wonder what mine would score.....I never measured

i gotcha i thought you were just refering to height not rti score
i guess i never checked 20deg. looks like i'm at 1092. fullwidth helps

I remember seeing fork truck pics. No tape?

fullwidth helps

Fo sho.

Tire pressure is huge too when it comes to ramp numbers. I measured everything at street pressure (35psi). I could get a few more inches out of it if I aired down. Not that it really matters anyways.

I honestly didnt see a difference between 37p.s.i. and 12 p.s.i. (street and trail pressure)

That's interesting. The lifted and opposite tire should squat hard, while the 2 light tires would be unloaded so they'd be (nearly)the same size they'd be at street pressure.

I'm not going to air down just to find out for myself. :thefinger:

i know they squat alot but i might have got an inch outta it if anything. maybe i was doin it wrong ?
when i'm aired up my tires measure out to 36'' tall aired down to 12 and they only measure 33. might have somthing to do with it idk

No, never measured. When I swap tons and 4D's I will redo it and measure. I need to make sure everything clears anyway.

Man all this badgering gives me a headache lol.

Bray I ran a welded rear in my DD explorer for a short while. When I was running a set of 35x14.50 boggers it was hardly noticeable and easily lived with. But when I switched to a set of 35x12.50 BFG MT's it was absolutely horrible. Night and day difference just from swapping tires. It was so bad I swapped out the welded carrier for an open one. It was on this truck.

That's interesting. What was so bad about it?

Pulling into parking spots or tight turns. Got real annoying in town driving. But with the boggers I really didn't even notice. I think the larger contact patch on the ground made the difference.

The full width might've hurt ya a little bit too. We'll see how it does when Kyle's carrier makes it here.

any more pics of the sploder? i'm suposed to be driving to pick mine up tomorow (if it's as nice as the kid says it is) and lookin for idea's. most likely will just do what i can to make everything from my truck work . but would like ideas for looks of bumpers and what not.

EDIT: i'm gettin horriable at this thread jack stuff, sorry for the clutter

It should be there soon, went usps priority to your po box.
