Im thinking of buying my cousins 1986 4wd ranger. I wanna do a D44 swap from a f150 or bronco. Im gonna build a race truck out of it so i dont want to narrow it or anything. How much wider are the D44 beams on each side? and how much further out are the coil mounts than the ranger beams? also is there any difference in the bend of the beam? i have 6 inch lift coils ill use if its possible to modify the buckets to match the offset for the coil mounting location on the D44 beams.

The coil (radius arm) mounts are about 3" further out on the D44. They are also canted inward slightly, so you might not need to space the upper bucket out as far as the axle's lower mount.
The D44 beams also have their pivots mounted at the centerline of the axle, D35 (or D28) beam pivots are 1" above centerline.
Distance between the pinion and pivot is the same on both axles.
