d35 and lockright self destruct

just found out at the shop where i got the gears and locker put in that theres play in the drive shaft and the locker is gone.?? it was racheting and cluncking like crazy mostly on the driver side, and now doesnt lock. plus they said the gears are prob. gone too. how the hell is this possible after 1 month of mild rockcrawling use, and put in proffesionally. plz help cause this smells bad. thx

Open the fill plug and get a look, that much damage should be visible...
or the mechanics are lost and you have a bad hub.

Did you break-in the gears properly?

Front gears especially on a part-time axle with hubs are not really required to break in. you would have to pull the rear driveshaft, and put 500 miles on just the front gears. This isn't practicle or recommended. A d35 front doesn't see the same heat a rear axle will.

1). Sounds like warranty if it is toast. like maybe they didn't install it right?

2). Misdiagnosis.

3). They are trying to screw you royally.
