im seriously thinking about putting a YJ d30 in the front of my b2, its free so i dont wanna hear go with a d60/dynatrac/rock jock/rockwells, or some other crazy shit:thefinger: . going to be going leaves more then likely, should i do the shackles in the front or SRS style? i dont really want a huge fawkn xmember hanging down under the bumper, and im only shooting for 4-6"

anyone have pics of how they set up their b2 or 83-90 rangers with leafs? also what to do about the steering, will the yj draglink bolt to the b2 pitman arm? or do i just make something custom, would like to go the cheapes route possible

you should do fullwidth, or throws some rockwells at it.. :icon_rofl::icon_rofl: j/k j/k

heres a quick and cheap sas i did, cost me $25.. and that was for the axle lol sold the truck though :( i built everything out of basicaly scraps layin around from my b2 project, did this swap in about 8 hrs and some ..

and i ran the steering the same as my buddy, fabed up a bracket off of the tie rod, that the drad link would bolt to going above the leafs, it seemed hokey pokey when we came up with it, but it actualy works fine :)

o and didnt you post this on pirate too?? i kept checkin back but you never responded

i have too many full width projects going on right now lol, my buddys s10 blazer on 38.5's, a cj5 on 39.5's, and a m1009 lol. i like the way u made the xmember for the front nice and low pro. what size tires were on it? looks really clean, well besides the dents and scratches lol

yeah, do it do it. i'm a big fan of puttin a D30 under a b2. i wanna do it to my b2 one day and i'm gonna use leafs too, it's just easier than doing all the math for coils. i'd brace the D30 housing too, they tend to flex a little.

um what dents??? lol yeah those scrathes are from riding the gaurdrail :dunno: sounds so stupid now but it was funny then... and yeah i got alot of shit for doing the sas on that ugly pig, but i was bored lol, tires were some 32's that i had got for free, its actually what inspired the build, they wouldnt fit the truck and it was 2 wheel drive so i headed in head first and made em fit....

i bought that truck right after the guy painted it for $200, the body was straight, me and a buddy wrecked it as you can tell, then i wrecked it driving n the snow, into a rock wall, fawked up the rim, broke the headlight, ruined the bumper, then i did th sas, never put shocks or a t case in and sold it for $450 lol i was happy..:yahoo:

Like was said, you'll probably have to do some adapting or modifying, but it'd probably be easiest to start with the D30 tierod (from a T-style linkage), then come up with a drag link to fit between it and your steering box.

What happened with putting in the D35? :icon_confused: (the D30 is weaker than the 35, just FYI).
