i am not the greatest fabricator so i am looking for dimensions from someone who has made radius arm brackets to avoid trial and error methods. i only have basic tools, welder, torches and an angle grinder so no water jet/CNC grade cuts. i would prefer for them to work with my rancho radius arms but not required. i can make factory ones into whatever dimensions i need without to much trouble. a picture is preferred, diagram, sketch etc would be best but not required.

Not sure if this pic helps...

I just fabbed the bracket into an "L" shape basically, put it against the frame where I wanted it, assembled the "donut" for the bushing onto the end of the radius arm, then tacked the "donut" to the bracket. I can go outside if you want actual measurements (pretty sure my arms are similar in length to the Rancho ones).

the thing is, my first one i made is a train wreck of issues and i WAY over built it. i will gladly take any measurements, sketches, pictures you are willing to offer me. your radius arms look to be about the same size, maybe 1-2 inches longer. i need all the help i can get. my fab skills are terrible.

I've got a set of Rancho arms on my truck, and I could get a picture of the mounts that they came with if you want...

the problem is with 33s my tires rub my radius arms because the mounts stick out so far unlike the skyjackers and most others that are even with the frame.

Oh ok, I hear ya. I wasn't quite sure what your situation was...

thanks. the outer lugs on my TSLs RAKE over the 2 fins in the radius arms.

7-8" rims and 3.75" backspace? of course it will rub but you could still get a little turning radius from setting your mounts in.

15x10s with 3.5 backspacing is still yet to be tested. 15x8s 3.75 rubbed bad. if i grind the radius arm a little and move the mounts inward i am hoping to stop the rubbing.

going 10" wide from 8 with the same BS moves the tire out 1" but for a wheeler i might like the 8"er's with 3" BS or less to get the same effect

i went to 10 inch rims because they were a even up trade for mine and i will be buying 33 14 15s for my next tires. i have another set of 8 inch rims anyway if all else fails and i start popping the beads regularly.

10's will clear your radius arms, but you'll rub fender worse. I had to put my Krawlers on 10's to get them outta the radius arms so I had a decent turning radius.

whats weird is thats the justification i used:icon_confused: but i love my boggers(33x14:icon_twisted:),they are the only thing that can pull a high centered long bed along with only one tire on the ground.if i didn't haul a lot regularly my build thread would be about a b2(can't take a trailer on a lot of logging roads here)

i popped a sidewall of some cheapo tires but i don't run single digit pressure(10-15 for me) so i haven't lost a bead slamming her pretty hard.

the truck is a whole lot more stable on 10's,and turning radius like wahlly said.with my a/t 10"wheel set and the duff stage 3 my truck handles almost as good as stock on 33's. one of my favorite truck memories is spanking a hopped up italian bike on the curvy, bumpy mountain roads here.

rubbing fenders is easy to fix, either the tires "self clearance" the fenders or i cut till they do.

I'll see about getting a pic of the ones I just made.
