I am going to be building my own radius arm brackets so that I can finally install my skyjacker radius arms. They did not come with the brackets that mount to the frame so I need to make some. The truck has a 4'' lift on it. Can someone send me some pics of their brackets that they made for something like this? Thanks:icon_thumby:

Here is how I am planning on doing mine.

1/4 plate

One piece against the frame, extends down about 2.5-3" beyond the bottom of the frame. This piece is probably 6" by 8.5-9inches.

The portion that extends below the frame will taper back up towards the frame to the back.

The second piece will go against the bottom of the frame. It will be welded to the first piece. It will be as wide as the frame and 6" long.

A third piece will go on the inside edge of the bracket and extend downwards. It will be tappered like the first plate.

Then the 4th piece will be attached to the front of the tapered parts. A hole drilled in it will recieve the radius arm.

The bracket will be bolted through the bottom of the frame and the side of the frame with 4 Grade 8 1/2" bolts.

The bracket may need to be wider because of the rad arm bushings. If this is the case then it will be made wider than the frame rail.

Does this help at all?

Yeah I can see that. I was thinking something like that. I think the best thing that can help me is the measurements. I need to know how many inches should the threaded portion of the radius arm be from the bottom of the frame rail with a 4'' lift. I think that is the most crucial measurement. I was thinking about just taking the stock arms off without jacking up the truck or anything and just bolting on the new ones and seeing where they sit while keeping everything stationary.

maybe these will help you, pics from kits I have sold, so I cant get you anymore pics,....
