custom efi

:icon_confusi have a carbed 302 in my ranger and i want to switch to efi, but want something that is out of the ordinary. i was thinking of using my stock 3.0 computer, wiring harness and sensors and mount the sensors in an adapter like the fast ez efi kit but instead of four injectors have six and ues a TB to four barrel elbow adapter like the one below and have six injectors around the bottom

I honestly don't see this working. First of all, your 3.0 system is designed to supply enough fuel to a motor 40% smaller than your 302. Second, how do you intend to mount six injectors in a throttle boddy set up? Most TBI systems I've seen had maybe one or two injectors. Not to shoot ya donw, but this sounds really impractical :dunno:
 
kinda like this and use bigger and 2 more
injectors cause 3.0 and 5.0 injectors are the same. i think it would have a cool factor too a homemade efi on a 302 in a ranger lol

We're still back to the issue of your 3.0 computer and its MAF and O2 sensors are calibrated to the fuel requirements of a smaller motor. It seems like it would be the same as putting too small of a carb on.
 
Aren't you going to need a cam synchronizer? Then how do you get spark to the plugs with a 6 cylinder computer?

ok now that i see someone else say it i realize it wont work. so if i wanted to swap to efi what would be agood donor vehicle to get parts from if i cant find a 5.0 mustang? what all would i need from the donor vehicle besides intakes and the comuter, and will i be adle to use my msd 6al ignition box?
