Will the panels from a 91 fit on a 96 if not will the body of 91 bolt up to the frame of a 96. found a beat beat up 96 with a great 4.0 5 spd transmission and my truck has great body with a beat beat A4LD trans and vulcan 3.0.

Body swap. But ask yourself...is it worth all of the effort?

Forget the body swap. Use the 96 as an engine donor for your 91. If much rather swap engines than bodies. Nothing to be gained from the newer frame that can't be easily swapped onto your existing truck.

The 1996 will have better brakes and an 8.8" rear.

Probably an ABS truck.

IF you have to ask if you can swap the body and other parts the swap is not practical for YOU...

The 1996 truck is EEC-5 (OBD2) and wired as differently as if it was another mfg's product

A 1996 4.0OHV engine would not be my choice for swapping into a 1991.

I would go looking for another cab for the 1996...
