What you say?

Cupcakes you say?!

Yes, because, well, I have a weakness for cake :p

I was thinking about how I'm going to have cake at the Anniversary Trail Ride, and was thinking about cupcakes instead of a big sheet cake. Then I thought that little decorations / toppers that had the TRS logo would be cool, but would be a pointless souvenir. Then I came up with the idea of a keychain with the TRS logo as a cupcake topper, but the keychain would be in a little plastic holder, not actually in the cupcake itself.

Something like this, but with a keychain:

Thoughts? Suggestions??

Laser cut emblems made from sheet aluminum with adhesive tape on the back would be cool.

Something like these, but I don't have any TRS designs.. If I was still in my college classes, I would've designed them for you in Inventor. I could have 3D printed prototypes as well.

Where would I get them made?

@85_Ranger4x4 is this in line with an idea you sent me months ago?

I figure there has to be a member here that is in an industry that can get these made cheaply with pretty decent quality. Depending on how many you want. Putting double sided tape on them might be a bit of a task though. Getting aluminum or stainless cut with the protective film still on, using a waterjet might be the cleanest option to keep a good finish on them.

Another option might be an Ebay vendor. There are several on Ebay that make custom keychains/badges/etc..

Yeah, I have the banner part more or less done I think so that would save you labor on getting it burned out.

This company does all kinds of signage. Keychains, vehicle emblems, wraps, business signs, everything. Pretty sure they have one of the biggest 3d printers I've ever seen, they got a couple small ones too.
We used them all the time for Vinyl Lettering to go onto Vinyl covered Awnings. When I would go to their lobby to pick up our stuff, they have all kinds of little items like Koozie's and Key Chains and Door Plaques and all kinds of custom things they are capable of.

Another thought, as something of an amateur cake connoisseur I have noticed at weddings where they do cupcakes they get dried out really fast.

So if you haul them up from Texas we could probably play baseball with them by the time you get to Ohio.

They can also do airbrush stuff on frosting too so you have the bakery airbrush the TRS letters or something to that effect on the cupcakes too.

I was going to get them in Ohio, and just add the toppers myself. Pick them up the night before.

Could be cool. Just not sure how they would cut it so that it doesn't all fall apart.

I have a hate on some bakeries, the ones that use lard in their icing. Make sure they make a real butter frosting.

If it's not butter cream, I don't eat it.

I don't discriminate when it comes to pastries, cakes or pies. Honestly would not know if they used lard, butter or "I cant believe It's not Butter". I do know that some cupcake icing has a "Chemical-y" taste to them, I don't like those, but will probably still eat a few, out of respect, you know.

Road trip, camping, trail ride, sponsor giveaways. All this and cupcakes too?

Wow!!!!!????
