I am trying to replace the CTS (coolant temperature sensor) on my 1996 4.0L OHV. The one the parts store gave me only has a threaded part on top, as if I am supposed to put something on and then screw a nut on or something. But the one on my truck now has a clip. I unclipped the wires leading to it and then there was still a female clip on the CTS. Does the female clip transfer over? Or did the store just give me the wrong thing? Thanks

Anyone? I wanna change this biotch...should a replacement come being able to be clipped onto?

There's two temp sensors on that motor. One has a 2? wire clip, the other has a 1 wire stud, they're nearly right beside each other. That's either good or bad news since one is 5x the price of the other...

IIRC the one wire sensor is just the sender for the gauge, the two wire is the ECT for the computer.

Hmm...can someone get a pic? I only see one...What would I ask for then at the parts store? An ECT sensor then? I wanna replace the one that tells the computer whats what. I guess I will replace the other one too since it looks like I have it haha

I think you're looking for BWD Part No. WT3058Z. or whatever they can cross reference that to. Hope that helps.
