My credo
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
If in good shape. Thanks.

The electronic box, the servo, or just the buttons on the steering wheel?

I believe just the buttons. I tried it and it held speed and the dash light went on, but, the buttons are all beat up and I think backlighting is gone, pretty sure. And one is partly broken from the mount.
I think 95-97 are the years that work for 97 or at least 96-97. Thanks.

Sorry I think Ranger 96-97 only.
I think these also are a match
Explorer 95-98
Mountaineer 97-98
if that helps at all I'm not positive about the non-Ranger matches

Pretty sure these won't work on mine nothing after 97 works

The seller claims it will fit. Do you not have a regular steering wheel?

Oh man I was trying to see all the pages.
OK if that works it would be a miracle. THANKS.

I wrote them to ask if they have the backlighting. I guess I could live without it but it should have it for that model.
Edit: they said no backlighting. I guess I could get them just to get it cosmetically better....
I'm going to start w/ the junkyards see if they can come up with anything.
It's a downside of this model Ranger that it was kind of an oddball.

There seems to be some disagreement about backlighting... I checked mine and they DO have backlighting. So those are the ones I want and I think there are only a few years/models that fit.
Technically what the guy is selling isn't really a replacement part, it probably makes the buttons work, but it's not an oem-type part. That's why they are so cheap I guess.
You can get the actual part, $350. I'll do a bit more looking around before I pay that. Problem is usually you see these all worn out, but, that said, I am going to try the junkyards this week and see if they have anything good.
