Anyone have a picture or description of the factory location of the cruise control in a 4 cylinder. I have a 2000 4 cylinder that I am going to put an Audiovox cruise in this weekend. I don't have to put it where the factory unit was, but was just curious. Any picture/suggestions on this setup is also appreciated. There is an excellent write-up with pictures on a Ranger but it is for a V-6. Suggestions on the hookup to the throttle body would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Excellent forum by the way.

I don't remember exactly but I think it was mounted on the passenger side of the engine area (been a while since I saw one at the yard). However, I know that it was mounted in the same spot in the older trucks no matter what the engine was in there and the actuator to throttle cable just changed, so if you have a V6 guide that's probably best.

As for hooking it up, the OEM hookup "clips" on to the main throttle cable, so that's probably your best bet.
