I have a 93 ranger and the cruise control doesn't work, I saw another thread with a similar issue but it was never resolved, anyways, i checked the vacuum lines going to the servo, the throttle cable, checked every fuse, checked the steering wheel contacts and cleaned them up, checked the vacuum dump switch on the brake pedal and made sure its adjusted, I know there's a few other things that should be checked but does anyone know how to test the connector at the servo, so I can confirm the servo is bad before replacing it?

If you can get your hands on the Mitchell book for '93, it will have a step by step testing procedure for the system. I used it to fix my '94 Explorer and it allowed me to narrow it down to the cruise control amplifier under the dash with no risk of replacing an unneeded part.

I haven't checked in years, but these used to be on the shelf in the library.

I've never heard of that one, are the electronics the same across all 3 makes?

No, the book will have a section for each manufacturer, then broken down by model, engine, etc. Very specific.
