Hey all, not sure if this has been covered, but I just replaced my deteriorating cruise buttons and their lights in my 97 Ranger. The button replacement is pretty straight forward...disconnect the battery, wait for 30 minutes, pull the airbag, swap the button assemblies. Issue i had was knowing ahead of time what bulbs to get, and where. I ended up going to "superbrightleds.com" and using bulbs "B8.4D-G" The "G" was for the green colored bulbs. There are many colors available, and they're cheap. I bought 6 of them, just to have for whatever, and after shipping, the grand total was $12. The only thing that needed any consideration was the contacts on the new bulbs were just a tad high, so I had to tweak them down so they'd hit the circuit boards, and they're polarized, which means they've got to have positive to positive, negative to negative. In other words, they'll go in the board either way, but if the voltage isn't flowing correctly they won't light, you'll have to turn them 180. They're a nice snug fit, but they do go in, and they work like a champ. They offer a higher intensity bulb, but these do the job just as good or better than OEM, and they should outlast our trucks.
