So a few months ago i was t-boned, the car that hit me just crumbled. I have a huge dent on that side that i am trying to figure out if i should just bang it out or wait till i get back to the states to fix it. Anyway I noticed that my cab now sticks out about half an inch on the passenger side. I looked and measured the frame and as far as i can tell the frame is fine. The cab mount bolts are slightly bent as well. Is there away i can fix this myself or do I have to wait to get back to the states to do that also?

Jt, where are you at now? I would assume that if the frame is not bent then just replace the bolts and realign the cab.

I am currently stationed in the Azores on an island the size of a small town so getting parts and finding people that can do the work is hard. I thought about just getting new hardware especially since i want to replace the bushings with poly ones. I have this eerie feeling that that wont fix it.

Ahh...bout to say, if you were stationed in Germany, I would come out and help you....
You should be ok (or at least get it close to straight) with new bolts. It doesn't take much effort...If you have a floor jack and a extra person, you should be able to loosen the cab bolts and slide the cab in the correct position.....

I'd say you could fix it yourself...and also that getting everything just right can be more work than it appears...could be your box is slightly out of alignment though...I farted around with mine quite a bit till I got the body lines straight...and I'm with Nater...use new bolts (grade 8 if you can)...and new clips for the box...or change them out to a nut and washer...

What do you mean by new clips for the box? Ive spent most of my time working with jeeps so i am not that familiar with fords. I was gonna buy the new hardware from lmctrucks.com. I also have access to the base garage so as far as tools im good there im just worried i wont be able to get the parts.

Jt...if you want new bushings and stuff, order thru Summit....They ship to APO and you will have your stuff in about a week....As far as the clips, the bolts on the bed bolt into C clips that are sandwiched on the frame.

I guess I should have mentioned that its just the cab thats crooked, the bed is fine. do the cab bolts have clips as well?

no...The cab has end nuts...basically a nut with a washer...
