I was thinking...would I be able to stuff my 302 in like an 85-90 Mazda B2200? That thing would fly and I figure people but SBF's in RX7's why not a B2200?

Anyway I just want your thoughts because I got a very stought motor and I want to put a 4 banger in my 86 when I bag it. I am going to a yard today to take some measurements of the engine bay and other specs. I just hope I can find one in Canada with a decent frame left under it.

What's the difference between a Ranger and Mazda of that year? You waited a whole one hour and eleven minuets before coming back. Just pretend it's a Ranger.

that era mazda truck is actually built by mazda.... no relation at all to the rangers we all know and love.

The Mazdas that era are tiny and weigh next to nothing and had nothing to do with Ford.

It's been done, guy locally swapped one. I'll try to find his burnout video.

Thatd be cool if you found it.

Really didn't know that. 30 years ago I had a Ford Courier (same as a Mazda back then?) w/302, C-4 in it and ran a 8" Comet rear. Can be done but tight. For manifolds they used van log type and flipped them side to side and upside down so they exited to the front.

I hope it works out...I've been obsessing over it for about...19 hours now hahaha. But I want to get some measurements going so I'll post up the specs when I get back from JB's (local mini truck graveyard) tommorow.

so you did all that exhaust work just to rip the engine out and stick a 4 banger in it? why not just get another ranger or mazda and bag it?

I just want my V8 in a Mazda have seen how small they are...besides I can fab an exhaust in like 6 hours :icon_welder:

I am still going to bag my Ranger probably...I always something with boost too. Maybe I should slow down on the projects...I am only 18.

yeah i would slow down on projects. life will throw more crap at you then you will be prepared for. just finish the one ya got and enjoy it. then if you want, move on to the next one. but dont get in over your head. right now, im struggling to finish my 62 impala ss convert. then finish the motor swap in my ranger. all of while trying to save up for a new stereo system in my truck. its too much to handle. just drive em and enjoy em.
