Apologies for not knowing this stuff-
I used to working on little British cars no longer in production. These use shims to provide just enough clearance on the crank between the harmonic balancer and the crank sprocket for the cam drive.
Does the 4.0 use similar shim to provide preload/clearance on the crank sprocket, or doe the better machining available for these eliminate the need for such shims? I took this apart 4 years ago, and I doon't reallly have a good memory of content.
Thanks in advance for you help
