Crank no start 93 4.0l 4x4

Hey yall.



I got a 4.0l changed the fuel pump fuel filter still no start unless I spary assist juice/ carb clean then it runs i cannot get it to start with carb clean I need some help with it do yall know anything about this if you can help me out with anything tips or tricks it would be appreciated know I did unplug the mas air flow sensor and it did start to run better and start on its own know it won't could really use the help

First off, why did you replace the fuel pump and filter?
If it starts with hot start or Fuel assist - whatever brand name you used - then that rules out spark and compression - it's getting those..

So it isn't getting fuel.

Can you hear the fuel pump turn on when tyou turn the key to the on position? Should hear it hum for about 3-5 seconds. If not, then the pump isn'y connected.

Go from there and post back what you find.

Ok so the the fuel pump runs like I said it runs i need to add carb clean to get it to start then it runs off gas just won't start on gas i need carb clean to start it

OK that's weird.
Just to be clear,
Once you start it with carb clean, it stays running, but will not start and run without first using carb clean to start it?

But I guess I need you to answer this question:
Can you hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key to the on position? Not start it, just to the ON position. Should hear it hum for about 3-5 seconds.

If you can hear it, then that is strange.

Fuel pressure, maybe? But that doesn't make sense either...hmmmnnn
Is the filter installed in the right direction? (reaching on this one)
