Craftsman exchange policy.

I work for Sears and I am the tool guy at my store, I would take that back and exchange it with out any issues.

Only time I get pissed off with people is when guys bring in luggage bags full of sockets and want them all exchanged and it 10 mins before closing. You would be surprised how often that happens too.

I'd be nicer than that. I'd come in 30 minutes before closing. :thefinger:

Seriously, I LOVE Craftsman tools. (Partially because I'm too poor to afford Snap-On!) My dad gave me (because he was sick of me barrowing his tools) a nice 104 piece ratchet and socket set in a case that fits PERFECTLY behind the seat of my Ranger.

It's saved the day (for me and others) a few times.

The only issue my family has ever had with a Craftsman tool replacement was a 3/4" drive breaker bar that the store claimed couldn't break.

No such thing as a tool that won't break. You out enough force on a tool and it'll break. Why do you think hey call it a BREAKer bar? Because it WILL break!

Dude sounds like an ass hole who does not like to do his job. I got alot of those at my store.

If it was me, I'd look at it this way: It's says "Craftsman" on it. It broke. I'm gonna get the guy a replacement so he can get back home a finish his project.

AND I'm gonna admire the carnage and ask him how he managed to break it! :icon_confused:

I went in the other day and exchanged a 3/8 and a 1/4 drive rachet and a 3/8 extension, they grabbed new ones. They all break eventually. I.ve had alot of probs w the 1/4 rachets.

I've had trouble with there 1/4 ratchet as well.Sticky movement.

Yeah, the 1/4" ratchets seems a little on the cheap side. Had ours replaced a couple of times and the new ones are already slipping like the old ones.

I have also had problems with our 1/4" ratchet... it slips also, and likes to make the socket fall off quite a bit...

Now I just use a 1/2" ratchet and an adapter, unless I can't fit it where I need to be...
