Cracked intake manifold?

Hello all I recently purchased a 95 ranger 3.0 that had been overheated from a friend. Knowing it needed head gaskets at the least. Well long story short I replaced both heads that were cracked with reman's, water pump, timing chain gasket, tensioner pully, ideler pully. I got everything back together and started the truck up.... White smoke out the exhaust and it is running poorly almost like a cylinder is missing. So I shut off truck and there was coolant on top of intake manifold. I beileve the intake must be cracked as well? Is this a common problem if the motor was pretty much cooked by being overheated until it quit? Thanks for the advise! I am planning my next day off to check plugs to find out which cylinder is burning the coolant and do a compression check on to make sure it's not head gasket which I don't believe it is. Is there anyway to check intake without removing from truck?
