I've been looking at the class II lift from skyjacker, I like what I see and hear from people on this forum and probably am going to go in that direction, now my question is this, I come from a jeep backround, I know what they need when lifted, but what does a ranger "need"? Im assuming extended brake lines? What about an SYE(slip yoke eliminator)? Also shock wise, I was planning 3 inch body lift and 6 inches suspension, will skyjacker shocks work? This is will see nothing but mud and rocks, just fyi.

thanks ahead of time

Ford already uses a fixed-yoke T-case, nothing needed there. :icon_thumby:

For shocks, Skyjacker's "Nitro" shocks are pretty decent. Bilsteins would give you a bit better performance though (also less shock fade with hard use at speed).

Extended brake hoses are needed, yes. You will also want the larger pt# FA600 pitman arm if you're going with a full 6" lift on the suspension (the arm they include in the kit is too short to put the steering at proper geometry).

Is the truck in question a Supercab? You may also want to swap out the rear 2-piece driveshaft with a single-piece one, if so (vibration issues). If Reg cab, then no worries there.

Hope that helps.
