Could a bad ground or bad battery cause a tranny solenoid error?

I have been getting an error that says it is the shifter solenoid.
Says it could be a shortage somewhere but I do not know where to look.

Since the error, I had been messing with the fuses/terminals on the battery. (Installing an amp and new radio)

There is alot of corrosion on the positive terminal
Where is the best place to stick the ground for the main battery? I have it atatched to the fender.

Probably should be in transmissions, but I have a question there and no replies yet....this question is more about the electronics in an engine anyways, where are likely shortages located, what does battery expendature mean? (growing blueish white stuff on the positive terminal- you know what I mean but I don't know if I am using the right word other than corrosion...=/)

uh,corosion would be the right word,a wire brush,or a batt. terminal cleaner would be nice to use on youre terminals, best place for youre batt ground would be the engine block.not likely that youre fault code has anything to do with youre batt. terminals.
