I need new injectors on my 2000 4.0 and I am looking for the best bang for the buck. Got any ideas?

Why do you need new injectors?

It's not uncommon for injectors to last longer than the vehicle.....something like 400,000miles of service.

They can be serviced though.

im not real sure what injectors would be best but you should try cleaning them. i had a buddy thats a mechanic run some injector cleaner through my system and was shocked at what came out of the exhaust.

who's trying to sell you a full set of injectors? if its a dealership im ashamed. i've never sold a set of injectors. i've sold 1 or 2 that hang open or stick shut but never a set for the hell of it. accpet on maybe 05 3v 5.4l's but thats different

Yeh I had to replace one a few months ago because it was not within factory specs giving me a misfire code that took a while to track down. I also would stick soley to motorcraft injectors. To save a few bucks and throw in a random brand in there could be asking for trouble later on.

BTW, check out Rockauto.com. Motorcraft injectors are about 1/2 the price of the dealership.

I dont have to change them all, I want too. Seems like you change one, you might as well change them all... I ran amsoil cleaner and it didnt work so I assume I have to change it.

i would for sure stick with motorcraft if you are going to change them

the choice is definitely yours, but you are throwing away money by replacing good injectors. they are not a regular service items and failures are rare.
