Coronavirus

Let's put it this way...

Given the opportunity to listen to a group of people who've spent years of their lives dedicated to the study of disease spread, I'm inclined to trust their judgement.
Which ones? You can find information supporting both sides. Which kind of suggests that masks are pretty marginal in effectiveness, if there's evidence both ways.

I do when I'm required to, whether it does anything or not.

Frankly.... if we had the least bit of sense in this country, we'd test EVERYONE for antibodies. Those who show the presence of antibodies, would be exempt from all this...

Two problems with that idea.

#1 re-infection has and is happening... there is no full immunity to those who have had the virus.

#2 exempting certain people from the rules would create massive problems. Only certain people would end up being allowed in certain places, wealthy people would be buying their exempt status, exclusion and segregation would become the new norm with people clamoring to get infected so they could gain status. I'll take a shutdown over that Orwellian nightmare in a second.

If you get information from the actual, qualified people that study this, that's simply not true.

By the way, that last article you published? It's from an author pay site. Not a real peer reviewed site. People literally pay to put their own articles there.

I'll listen to the experts that say wearing masks help, and not to inject bleach into my body.
I think they have a pretty good basis for their findings.

"71% of case-patients and 74% of controlparticipants reported always using cloth face coverings or other mask types when in public "
100% of people who injected or ingested bleach, died .
And, it's not just wearing the mask...also the distancing and hand washing. You can wear a mask, but if your in a crowded area, close contact with others, your still liable to get it.
Its a combo of following guidelines.

Then a vaccine will never get this under control. Because that is what a vaccine does, cause your body to create antibodies. Same as if you'd had it.

Think about it.

I agree that we couldn't segregate society that way, at least in this country, but if we knew how many people had been exposed and not died, we could at least calm down a little.

Even if everyone in America has had the virus, about .1% would have died from it by January. That number doesn't calm me down any. .1% of 300,000,000 is still a shitload of dead people.

And that's probably where we are headed, about a tenth of a percent of the population dead, eventually.... and not much we can do about it. Or is there?

Instead of arguing about face masks, which I'd guess maybe would change this number at most a few percent (admittedly a real number of people), why aren't we looking at the fact that 80-something percent of patients, and those with the worst outcomes (including death), are severely deficient in a nutrient so cheap, that it is actually free under the right circumstances?

Because medicine in this country is designed to profit from sick people, not prevent disease. Fortunately, some other countries are looking at this from a different perspective. Hopefully we'll learn from them. But I'm not holding my breath.

Let's all get naked and run out into the sunlight !!!

Where I live people do that, but unfortunately the ones most likely to do so, are the ones you can't unsee.....

I'm sure my neighbors would appreciate seeing a naked, potbellied, scraggly bearded old fart running and frolicking around my yard ! ;missingteeth;

No, I'm the old fart...he's just a youngster.
But he has always had an open invitation to my place...just not naked !
He'll probably show up one day waving a pickle around.
