Coronavirus

Actually he is kind of old too...

100% of people who hold their breath too long die.
false.

they pass out and start breathing again. However, there are ways to assist on the "hold your breath 'til you die" route...

May I suggest a pillow?

:p

To his credit, he didn't say holding their breath was the cause of death. We all die of something...

I blew into a Pickle Jar and held my breath inside it for a hour, no ill effects, probably could do that and let it sit for years

Sorry for the 38 million and 330 million goof, just got back into town from a road trip, brain was not working to well :)

Thanks. I almost started looking foolish there.

I saw an episode of SpongeBob where Sammy the Squirrel used a pickle jar to breathe underwater. There ya go.... proof positive ;)

Well Massachusetts is entering a lockdown phase again. Schools in my area have all gone to remote learning, Governor Baker has mandated that if you are in public you must wear a mask no matter if you can stay 6' apart or not and that Covid-19 is more dangerous between the hours of 10pm and 5am because there is a stay at home order in effect between them hours except for emergency's.

So this guy seems to think that if I am at the end of a parking lot with no one around me I am too close to someone and they may contract the virus. Damn good thing he stopped short of saying that it needs to be like that on our own property. Now wrap your mind around this one, I can go through a drive through and get a meal without a mask on but can't stand at the far end of a parking lot unless I have a mask on. How the heck does one get this much power to execute executive orders and not see the stupidity in what the orders mandate?

The 10pm to 5 am BS. is a symbolic gesture at most and has no real bearing on how fast this wave will pass since the majority of people are home at those times anyways.

Closing business at 9:30pm I can get as most that are open that late are restaurants and bars where it has been proven that the spreading is happening faster at those locations. This part I understand and can get behind but don't just add in symbolic gestures to make it look like what you are doing is going to help.

Over the past week as the cases have risen in my county, I had already been considering swapping my child to remote learning before the school initiated it. It is a breeding ground, similar to a super spreader event anyways, and I have had arguments with Kids' mom on the whole in person schooling thing anyways since it is my days that she goes and not hers. It was known once the schools opened back up it would spread fast again and we would enter the second wave. Thank Dr. Fauci for the heads up months ago about it so this should not be a shock to anyone that this is coming to pass.

Schools here are closing for two weeks... they are running out of teachers.
