And shame on Anderson Cooper for trying to stuff that mayors head down a damn goopher hole.

Even with all the closures and stay at home orders... we still lead the world in cases. I think it's probably because we're doing more testing then the rest of the world. None of these orders seem to be helping the cause.

Thank goodness we had a pandemic response team in place for a decade or so... they sure had a great plan for us to follow. No wonder Trump dissolved the team.

We need to get people working again... because not working hasn't fixed a damn thing. It's just creating and entirely new set of problems to deal with...

This is not directed toward anyone. Just my perspective as a recipient of a PPP loan.

We were one of the VERY lucky 1.6 million business that secured the PPP loan - and NO, it was NOT because we are in oil (I have less employees than Uncle Gump). We lucked out.

We managed to get ours via a VERY backwater credit union that only provided two PPP loans, and ours was small enough to come out of their miniscule share of the funding.

If you want to blame anyone for the failure of the PPP loans, look at the incentives the banks were under to provide the loans.

Banks are not institutions.

They are businesses that sell financial products.

They took advantage of a situation that allowed their business to grow in the Coronapocalypse.

Look at the lenders, look at how they handled the situation, and shop for financial products according to your own ethical standards. We will from now on.

We always claim to be a superior nation, but we seem to have failed miserably at controlling this.

Or controlling the press release numbers. The only countries on that list of comparable size to the US, China and Russia... I wouldn’t trust much of what either say on a good day.

Probably that, but we're also a larger country than anyone else except China and you can't trust their numbers. Percentage-wise we're a lot better than Italy and Spain. We have five times the population of Italy.

I read an article on MSN this morning that quoted a study done by Hong Cong, they said China has understated their numbers and that the actual figure is around 1/4 million. China has never included asymptomatic positive tests in their total.
If anything good comes from this maybe it will convince the US to become more self reliant for our needs, medicine and medical supplies for a start.Globalization = dependent on the good will of other countries and weak.

I doubt we will are ever gonna know the real numbers for any place, it's simply too much data. There not even sure when this thing started and no one was counting for months. They just confirmed a case in the U.S from an autopsy of someone who died Feburary 6th so it was here January, at least a month before previously thought.
