in a strange twist of fate I'm hearing stories of known people out of work because of Covid.
they are making more with unemployment than they did at their jobs.

not everybody though. one person still didn't get the stimulus money, and unemployment isn't happening for him either.

I have a close friend who suffers from depression and agoraphobia so bad its debilitating. He also has a pacemaker and a bad back. He has been out of work for over 2 years trying to apply for regular disability. He was bordering on homeless before this happened and selling whatver he could to make money. He just got a letter that his disability hearing would be pushed another 3 months due to coronavirus... he can't survive 3 months.

Ole dirtman is apparently getting a roommate again.

The upside is, he makes awesome knives

The price of cheese is at the lowest it's been in a long time. Good if you own a pizzeria... bad apparently if you enjoy string cheese. I haven't noticed a quality problem with any of our cheese...

We buy cheese on a 12 week floating average... it tends to smooth out the price jumps over time. It also doesn't let us enjoy the lower prices fully when the price falls. But the fall in price will sure help my margins for the near future.

In other news... The new SBA PPP loan flood gates opened yesterday at 9:30 am for the second round of funding. As of last night.... still no word on my loan. Hoping and praying it comes through... it's going to hurt pretty bad if it doesn't happen.

But I did see on the news that the LA Lakers organization got SBA PPP loan dollars.... all I can say is.... WTF!?!?!?!?
