I just watched our Governors daily speech and he said it appears like the curve is flattening out. I guess that's a bit of a bright spot... not sure if it holds up though. I hope so...

I also got a memo from Corporate yesterday... and it appears that Nation wide we will be donating $1 million worth of food to first responders. I looked at our POS system and it has many orders starting today and extending over the next couple of weeks to our local law enforcement, fire department and health care facilities in our area. I'm totally OK with feeding people that are on the front line of this thing. Not exactly sure how I will pay for it just yet... but I will figure that out.

@Uncle Gump I bought a stylus pen today to use the credit card machines with my own thing. I hated touching the pen and heard your complaints about using keys. So my daily store kit now includes hand sanitizer, a mask, and a stylus pen.

@Dirtman all I can say is thank you...

People seem to think if you own a business... you must be rolling in dough (no pun intended). It's just not true...

My touch screens are 3 years old now and should last many more years until they won't interface with technology. The credit card machines are expensive but should also last for many years. Although I've had to replace them a couple times because of the abuse people tend to think is ok... and that there is money to just buy new ones. Also what gets me is the parents that let their kids play with them like it's a computer game while they have their head in their smart phone. Just before this virus thing started... this lady and two kids were waiting for pizza. All I can hear is my CC machines beeping. I go there and each kid is just pushing buttons making them beep. Mother was oblivious to it apparently. I had to tell her kids to go sit down and not break my equipment. The Mother gave me a funny look. When they left... I noticed both stylus pens had been pulled off the machines and were laying broken on the floor. Yay!! More money I have to spend.

So once again dirtman… it may seem trivial... but it really isn't.

Our card machine was like a lightning rod, between them getting smited with lightning and the useage fees we no longer take cards. Cash or check only. Most of our customers mail in checks anyway.

Anyone know if the clothes iron on your mail thing works for coronavirus like it did for anthrax?
