Does anyone have a picture of these brackets installed in their truck?

I have an '86 standard cab that originally had a bench seat. I have racing buckets to install, but I am trying to decide between making or buying the brackets to mount them to the floor.

Before I spend the $139 (each) for the brackets, it would be nice to see an actual pic of them installed.

I just need the floor brackets, but I cant figure out what to buy, except these corbeau items keep coming up.

Having delt with this in several vehicles, if you have good fabrication skills, make your own as the cookie cutter (one size fits most) brackets will "usually" raise buckets.

I bought a decent set of rails a few years ago for a 92 GSR, they fit the floor plan 100% and worked great but they lowered the seat ½". I made some adjustments to the brackets and had them exactly where I wanted them; they were from eBay and we're $60 each. They were the same as 10-15 other brands.

I used the rails from an 87 BII to add a 60/40 to my 87 regular cab Ranger. Bolted in but the front right driver's side bracket footing (rail foot) was to long and was dismissed. It toad on 3 legs for many, many years without incident.

I will look into the BII 60/40 rails option. Seat height is my main concern without being able to see what the actual corbeau brackets look like. The seats are pretty tall. I have them mocked up sitting pretty close to the floor already - definitely lower than the original bench and I think its probably closer to the floor than the BII seats would have been.

If your seats become lower, a tilt steering wheel can be a big help.

I know @ecgreen put a set of Corbeau seats and brackets in his Bronco II. He stated that they sat pretty high... higher then the factory stuff. Maybe he can chime in with some more info.

those corbeau brackets are usually just stuff you can get at the local hardware store. back when i used to autocross, my friends and i tried all kinds of things, including those. they always raised the seat a good amount which is not what i wanted.

i found that usually the best thing to do is try and unbolt the factory mounts from the factory seats and then attach your new seat to the stock mounts. sometimes the holes will align and its easy and sometimes you have to make some flat stock brackets to get holes to work. or you can weld them on to the brackets. one of those three ways always works

Yep mine are an inch or 2 too high for me. The brackets themselves are well-made though. I'll modify someday
