Any suggestions on how to fix this. I pulled all the hoses and ran water through the radiator and heater core. should I pull out the thermastat and run the hoses through the head!

get some coolant system flush. drain the rad and the block, pour the bottle in, fill it with water, drive it for three days. drain system, fill with water, drive for 3 days, drain and fill with coolant of choice. also take the garden hose, and stick it in the lower out let of the rad, and cover the outlet the best you can with the hose, make sure the rad cap and top hose are off. and let the water run out the top outlet of the rad. this will backflush the rad and get all the crap outta it.
