next step, go to autozoo (or similar place that lends tools) and ask for a cooling system pressure tester. looks wierd but works wonders. remove your radiator cap. install the radiator cap in the the adapter block and pump it up, if it "pops" at 15 psi on the gage your cap is good, if it blows off to early or too late you have a faulty cap. then install the tool on the radiator (just like you would the radiator cap) and pump it up to 15 psi. if the pressure bleeds down more than 1 psi after 10 mins (or doesnt pump up and you have coolant everywhere) you have found your leak. now the fun part, if your coolant doesnt pump up or bleeds down and you have no external leaks, you have an internal engine leak. to check for this, check your oil. if its milky you have a cracked block. if this is fine, remove your spark plugs and pump it up, see which cylinder pours water out of it or you hear a gurgling sound. this will indicate a cracked head/blown head gasket. the other way to tell for cracked head/blown head gasket is engine running at idle and have white smoke from exhaust that smells of antifreeze and loss of coolant without a leak. cheers my friend.
