when i drive my ranger and get to operating Temperature , when i get get the Aroma of antifreeze .but their is no visible leak under my truck . another thing my temperature gauge stays in the normal range .
so what do yall think it is .

Check around the intake. Also check the bottom of the water pump to see if it is possibly starting to weep. Might also be smelling the overflow tank?

If you can SMELL it you can SEE it! Look closer! You do have a leak.

If at some point in the Past the heater core leaked In any vehicle the smell of antifreeze is hard to get rid of. usually smells the strongest when the vehicles at operating temperature.

Start the truck and pop the hood. Look in the coolant reservior box on the passenger side. If you see bubbles you have combustion in the cooling system (like I did) and the truck sat at normal operating temperature and there was no leaks. The heads ended up being warped and cracked.

Check around the timing chain cover, mine leaked from there and burned off the block and thats when I would smell coolant.
