coolant leak

when i drive my ranger and get to operating Temperature , when i get get the Aroma of antifreeze .but their is no visible leak under my truck . another thing my temperature gauge stays in the normal range .
so what do yall think it is .

It's a coolant leak! They are easiest to find at night with a flashlight.. From UNDER the vehicle.. What you will be looking for is ONE DROP.. Usually that drop will be under the radiator, at the end of a rubber hose, the bottom of the coolant pump or at a head gasket.

That said, first thing to do is feel of the carpet on the passangers side of the vehicle.. Perhaps it is the heater core that is leaking.

the antifreeze is on my oil pan and my bellhousing

Yeah coolant does get down there. The trick is to find the highest up ONE DROP of the coolant where it is exiting the engine. Many times it takes a flashlight and lieing under the vehicle.. Just looking at the oil pan won't find the leak.
