i have a 2011 ford ranger 4.0v6 with 106000 and just found a coolant leak at the right front of the oil pan driping down fron a 10mm bolt is there a coolant passage there??

I would look higher up. Coolant leaks are usually hoses and hose clamps. And there can be clamp leaks that don't leak cold, don't leak hot, but leak during warm up. I would just go around and snug every hose clamp, unless you have the spring clamps that the factory uses that take pliers to release. They are aggravating to deal with, but are the best clamps to use.

Is your water pump leaking? If I had coolant dripping from the front of my engine that's the first place I would check. They leak coolant when they fail.

From the description provided, I would be looking around the water pump or at the pump itself. There is at least two hoses that come off of that thing are not fun to play with. Right above the water pump is the thermostat housing. The plastic ones are known to develop cracks and leak. If it is the thermostat housing, you could replace with plastic or do what some of us have done and got an aluminum one used on Explorer 4.0 SOHC engines.

So, give all of that a good look over for wetness and drips. You may have to resort to pressurizing the system with a kit to find it, if it is a leak that only happens when the system is pressurized.
